Job summary

Acme is seeking a QA Technician to support the Quality Assurance Department in quality checks of product, procedures and GMP adherence at our New York facility.

The role involves data collection, inspections, sensory testing, traceability, and documentation, with a focus on continuous improvement and training of associates. Second shift hours are Sunday through Thursday, 2:30pm to 11:00pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2+ years' experience in food processing plant preferred.
• Quality/Food Safety experience in food processing preferred.
• Excellent work history with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Collect information and data about food safety, quality and legality.
• Communicates issues to the QA and Food Safety Manager.
• Perform and/or verify operation inspections in accordance with GMP standards.
• Perform quality checks including label inspections, lot code inspections, net weight checks.
• Complete electronic QA logs for trend analysis.
• Stop production line if product deviates from HACCP or quality standards.
