Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to provide direction to QA and laboratory staff, ensuring products meet the highest food safety and quality standards. You will work with the quality manager to foster a culture of excellence within the facility and escalate issues as needed.

You will supervise QA activities, maintain GMP practices, and support audits while mentoring team members and driving continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in food science, biological sciences, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• 2 to 5 years of quality assurance, manufacturing, or related experience, preferably in a food, beverage, or similar facility
• Demonstrated leadership attributes or team leadership experience; supervisor experience preferred
• Certification and/or License – PCQI, HACCP, SQF Practitioner certifications preferred; may be required during course of employment

Responsibilities

• Provide work direction and supervision to QA and lab employees to ensure products meet food safety and quality standards
• Assist QA manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality programs and procedures
• Complete required quality records and documentation, including CCP and PC records
• Write, review, and implement QA procedures; recommend testing procedure upgrades
• Oversee PEM program, swabbing, investigations, and corrective actions in partnership with operations
• Provide regular training and guidance on safety, quality, and compliance to staff
• Drive continuous improvement and collaborate across functions to resolve issues
• Support audits by customers, regulators, and third parties
• Investigate quality issues and customer complaints; implement remedies
