Job summary

CM Labs Simulations in Sandy, Utah, is seeking an Intermediate Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. You will validate our simulation software and immersive simulator systems, plan tests, document results, and drive quality through end-to-end verification.

Work with cross-functional teams across Agile environments, reproduce and triage customer issues, create clear test plans, and help improve QA practices while contributing to reliable, safe equipment training solutions.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional experience in software QA or testing.
• Understanding of QA fundamentals: test planning, execution, defect reporting, regression testing.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with systematic investigation.
• Ability to produce clear test plans, release docs, and technical docs.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage changing priorities.
• Comfortable troubleshooting Windows-based applications and integrated systems.
• Experience reading/modifying XML, JSON, CSV data/files.
• Experience with testing systems that integrate software with hardware is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing of complete simulator systems.
• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans and cases.
• Record results with evidence of coverage and defects.
• Investigate and document defects with reproduction steps.
• Collaborate with Agile teams across planning, development, testing, and release.
• Communicate test results, risks, and recommendations clearly to teams.
• Validate fixes and confirm no regressions.
• Coordinate testing activities with colleagues and support teams.
• Monitor incoming issues and reproduce customer configurations where possible.
• Contribute to QA process improvements and team knowledge.
