Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Quality Assurance Engineering Advisor I) to lead end-to-end QA for complex software applications and drive quality across the software development lifecycle.

You will partner with engineering and product teams to define and execute quality strategies, develop test plans, and mentor junior QA engineers, with a strong focus on test automation, performance testing, and Agile delivery practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with test automation frameworks.

Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Engineering Advisor I, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software products. You will partner closely with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to define and execute quality strategies, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle. This position requires a strong background in test automation, performance testing, and Agile delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end quality assurance activities for complex software applications and platforms.
• Define, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to establish and maintain high-quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.
• Drive the adoption of QA best practices, tools, and methodologies.
• Mentor and support junior QA engineers, fostering technical growth and adherence to quality standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes, efficiency, and product quality.
• Analyze test results and provide clear recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support Agile teams by actively participating in sprint planning, refinement, testing, and release activities.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and automation testing.
• 3+ years of experience in performance and load testing.
• 3+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Equivalent combination of education, professional experience, and/or military service may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with industry-standard automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
• Familiarity with security testing concepts and practices.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Certification in software testing or quality assurance disciplines.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional, fast-paced technology environments.
