Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented QA Tester to join our Agile team in Phoenix. The role focuses on translating business requirements into robust test scenarios, executing Functional, UAT, and Regression tests, and ensuring full traceability from requirements to tests.

You will collaborate with Product Owners and developers, review test cases, and contribute to audit-compliant testing practices while maintaining clear communication on status and risks.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with Functional, UAT, and Regression testing.
• Familiarity with Agile testing practices.
• Experience with defect management processes.
• Ability to create and execute database queries for data validation.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results under tight deadlines.
• Experience with Agile lifecycle management tools (ADO).
• Exposure to test automation tools (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Translate acceptance criteria into test scenarios and detailed test cases.
• Review test cases with the Product Owner to confirm scope and feasibility.
• Ensure 100% test coverage and traceability.
• Execute Functional, UAT, and Regression testing.
• Identify, log, track, and manage defects through resolution.
• Demonstrate test results to the Product Owner and project team.
• Ensure testing activities meet audit and compliance requirements.
• Communicate testing status, progress, defects, risks, and impacts timely.
• Support and participate in unit testing, providing feedback to developers.
• Ensure DevOps and Agile testing practices are followed where applicable.
• Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional Agile team.
