Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented QA professional to support software and mobile application testing initiatives. You will lead test planning, execution, defect management, and validation throughout the SDLC within an Agile team.

The role emphasizes manual testing, API validation with Postman, and data verification using SQL to ensure high-quality releases that meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Experience testing web-based and mobile applications.
• Strong manual testing experience.
• API testing experience using Postman or similar tools.
• Experience with SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of SDLC.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios
• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and mobile application testing
• Validate APIs and system integrations using tools such as Postman
• Document, track, and verify defects through resolution
• Create and manage test data required for testing activities
• Validate backend data and application functionality using SQL
• Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product teams
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives
• Analyze existing test coverage and identify gaps or improvement opportunities
• Ensure high-quality software releases that meet business and user requirements
