Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a dedicated software tester in Austin, TX to join an Agile development team. You will contribute to quality across the full software lifecycle and collaborate with developers during design phases.

A strong background in manual or automated testing, test planning, and test case development is required. Proficiency with Python, PowerShell, Jenkins, Selenium, and Wireshark is valued, along with virtualization and network fundamentals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manual or automated software testing within Agile frameworks.
• 2+ years in Windows Server testing and related environments.
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, Jenkins, Ansible or Selenium.
• Log analysis with Wireshark and virtualization with ESXi or RHEL-KVM.
• Strong networking fundamentals and security-focused practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within an Agile environment to enhance software quality across the entire development lifecycle.
• Engage in design and functional requirement reviews, including the development and presentation of comprehensive test plans.
• Create and maintain precise test cases for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Partner with developers during design phases to ensure features meet necessary testability standards.
• Proactively advance automation efforts and adopt emerging testing technologies.
• Demonstrate strong independent work ethic, effective teamwork, and excellent communication skills.
• Automated testing/ Testing automation gaps and Create test cases.
