Job summary

Blue Ridge Executive Search seeks a QA/QC Manager to refine and maintain the QA/QC Plan and train staff on key QA/QC aspects. You will ensure each project begins with a tailored QA/QC plan and assist as needed across teams. The role includes audits, warranty handoffs, and feedback to improve the program.

The position emphasizes collaboration with project teams, self-perform groups, and warranty processes, with strong emphasis on communication and on-site oversight.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of general construction practices, reading drawings, and construction means, methods, and materials.
• Experience with residential construction, particularly punch-list, turnover and customer service processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database tracking tools such as Latista.
• Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills with clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Refine and maintain the companywritten QA/QC Plan.
• Conduct new hire training on the QA/QC plan and recurrent training for existing employees.
• Meet with every project team to ensure a project specific QA/QC plan exists at project start; provide assistance as needed.
• Ensure required elements (preconstruction meetings, subcontractor QA/QC plans, mockups, inspections, punch-list) are included.
• Periodically audit programs for project compliance; provide written audit summaries to the General Superintendent.
• Facilitate handoff from operations to warranty, ensuring punchlists are complete before warranty tracking.
• Solicit feedback from Warranty to evaluate QA/QC effectiveness.
• Conduct post‑job reviews at warranty end; document performance and lessons learned.
• Provide similar QA/QC services to Self Perform Services group.
