Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a QA Laboratory Technician to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on raw materials, ingredients, in-process products and finished goods.

The role emphasizes accuracy, data entry into quality databases, and collaboration with QA teams to uphold food safety standards. The position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, required.
• Associates degree in a science-based area preferred, or 4 years of demonstrated work experience with increasing responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of work experience.
• Previous experience with quality specifications, process control monitoring and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analytical and organoleptic testing of raw ingredients, in-process samples and finished goods.
• Enter test results and other data into quality databases or spreadsheets.
• Record information in logs and forms as required.
• Advise and confer with departmental supervisors in regards to non-conforming product.
• Place non-conforming products on hold and make assessments for disposition.
• Understand and enforce compliance to all regulatory, corporate and plant policies and procedures.
• Support QA team during internal and external audits.
• Review records, reports and databases for discrepancies.
