Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor Trainee to help develop and implement quality assurance policies, conduct tests and inspections, and present solutions.

You will lead the QA/Lab department, ensuring regulatory and customer quality requirements are met across production and distribution. You will gain hands-on experience in quality systems, audits, and process improvements while collaborating with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Ability to evaluate production/packaging processes and determine efficient methods to achieve goals.
• Demonstrated leadership, ability to motivate people, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the plant Quality/Lab Department and plant personnel by understanding regulatory, customer, and Saputo quality requirements.
• Oversee QA systems to meet internal and customer requirements, HACCP and GMP programs, labeling, storage, and distribution.
• Oversee QC systems including hold programs, lab procedures, product functionality evaluations, audits, and microbiological monitoring programs.
• Communicate effectively with lab, other departments, sister plants, and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as needed.
