Job summary

Saputo is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor Trainee in the USA to help develop and implement QA policies, conduct tests, and identify and resolve production issues. You will lead the plant QA/Lab team, ensuring compliance with HACCP and GMP programs, and collaborate across departments to ensure product quality and safety.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, data-driven decision making, and the ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent experience.
• Ability to evaluate production/packaging processes and identify efficient methods.
• Ability to lead, influence, and motivate people.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Working knowledge of computer programs (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Self-motivated, able to multi-task, work independently and in a team.
• Represent Saputo professionally at all times.
• Able to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
• Demonstrate reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the plant operations department in Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the plant Quality/Lab Department and personnel.
• Oversee QA systems to meet internal and customer requirements, including HACCP and GMP programs; product labeling, storage, and distribution.
• Oversee QC systems including hold programs, lab procedures, and audits.
• Communicate effectively with lab personnel, all departments, sister plants, and management.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as needed.
