Job summary

CF&I Steel, L.P. in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to verify product conformance and customer specs using non-destructive testing, gauges, and visual inspection.

You will inspect, document, and ensure compliance with RMSM standards and process sheets, while supporting changeovers and traceability. The role emphasizes safety and hands-on measurement with tools like micrometers and NDT devices.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic manufacturing processes and heavy industry experience.
• Ability to read precision measurement tools and perform basic math.
• Qualified Level I NDT background or equivalent preferred.
• Quality control experience in manufacturing/metallurgy; ISO knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and visually inspect for adherence to process sheets, standard practices and specifications.
• Verify, audit, identify and record product and equipment.
• Review process sheets for customer order requirements.
• Operates all equipment needed to complete the job including grinders, gauges, and robotics.
• Assist operators in change overs.
• Reject, determine, disposition, sort and identify product.
• Prepare reports, records and counts for traceability and inventory.
• Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly; perform required maintenance.
• Adhere to all SOPs and safety rules; use safety gear.
• Maintain safety and equipment certifications as required.
