Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Quality Assurance/Safety Supervisor for our Chicago-area food manufacturing facilities. This role focuses on developing and maintaining a rigorous QA and food safety program to uphold industry-leading standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of QA/food safety experience, HACCP and GMP mastery, and strong leadership. You will oversee sanitation, train staff, and ensure compliance across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in quality assurance, food safety, and sanitation in food manufacturing.
• Expert knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety regulations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Assurance and Food Safety program to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to GMP.
• Implement and oversee HACCP plans to identify, control, and prevent potential food safety hazards.
• Lead and manage the sanitation team to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the manufacturing facility.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on food safety measures, quality control, and sanitation procedures.
• Investigate any quality or food safety incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure food safety and quality standards are integrated into all aspects of the manufacturing process.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to food safety and quality assurance.
• Provide regular reports to management on the status of the Quality Assurance and Food Safety program.
