Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Quality Assurance and Food Safety Supervisor who is bilingual to lead our QA program across our Chicago area facilities. This role focuses on maintaining compliance with GMP and HACCP, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement in food safety and quality.

You'll manage sanitation, train staff, report to management, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, food safety, and sanitation in the food manufacturing industry.
• Bilingual is a MUST
• Expert knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
• Certification in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, or a related field is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of food safety and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Assurance and Food Safety program to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to GMP.
• Implement and oversee HACCP plans to identify, control, and prevent potential food safety hazards.
• Lead and manage the sanitation team to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the manufacturing facility.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on food safety measures, quality control, and sanitation procedures.
• Investigate any quality or food safety incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure food safety and quality standards are integrated into all aspects of the manufacturing process.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to food safety and quality assurance.
• Provide regular reports to management on the status of the Quality Assurance and Food Safety program.
