Job summary

Indiana Packers Corporation is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA Department in a USDA inspected pork facility. You will manage QA Shift Supervisors and the Specification and Labeling Coordinator and drive HACCP and other food safety tasks with the QA staff.

You will coordinate with a third-party sanitation provider, develop KPIs, and support SQF and audits to ensure compliance with USDA-FSIS, regulatory standards, and customer specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of QA experience in food manufacturing.
• HACCP certification preferred.
• SQF Practitioner certification preferred.
• Able to work overtime, weekends and holidays for a 24 hr operation.

Responsibilities

• Direct management of QA Shift Supervisors and Specification and Labeling Coordinator.
• Investigate customer quality complaints, identify root causes, implement corrective actions.
• Monitor, trend, and report customer complaints monthly to leadership.
• Oversee third-party sanitation provider and sanitation program effectiveness.
• Develop and monitor KPIs related to food safety, quality, sanitation, and compliance.
• Support SQF and third-party audits, ensuring ongoing compliance.
• Review product specifications and labeling for USDA-FSIS compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of USDA, FDA, SQF, HACCP, GMP, SSOP standards.
• Deliver food safety and quality training to staff.
