Job summary

Miller Poultry in Orland, IN is seeking an Assistant QA Manager to assist the QA manager in daily operations and lead a globally diverse Quality Assurance team. You will support timely delivery of high-quality deliverables across business units, with emphasis on food safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires seven years in the food industry, preferably poultry, plus knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and related programs. Some travel may be required and a college degree is expected.

Qualifications

• Seven years minimum in food business preferably poultry or meat.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages and leads the QA team under the QA manager.
• Develops and maintains HACCP, GMP, SSOP and prerequisite programs.
• Prepares facility for quality and food safety audits.
• Supports enforcement of company policies and customer requirements.
• Provides training to QA staff and production employees.
• Conducts monthly food safety and quality checks and audits.
