Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a QA Engineer to develop comprehensive test plans and perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications in a government-regulated environment. You will validate compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements, accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG), and test enterprise applications on Windows Server.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and API testing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in functional and regression testing of Java-based web apps.
• Proficient with defect tracking systems.
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG).
• Experience testing Tomcat, Oracle 19c, and SAP BI interfaces.
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments.
• API testing experience (Apache Solr, RESTful services).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
• Strong collaboration in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and test cases for upgrades and new features.
• Perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• Execute manual testing for complex scenarios.
• Validate compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements.
• Ensure accessibility compliance (Section 508/WCAG).
• Test enterprise applications in Windows Server environments.
• Verify security controls and data protection measures.
• Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks for regression testing.
• Perform API testing for backend services (Solr, REST).
• Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage defect tracking and coordinate issue resolution.
• Test Tomcat deployments and configurations.
• Test Oracle 19c database integrations and data flows.
• Test SAP BI interfaces and outputs.
