Job summary

S&P Global Ratings is seeking a QA Engineer to join the Ratings QA team. The role supports testing across Web, Windows, and API platforms with automation and data comparison strategies.

You will help reduce time-to-market while preserving quality by leveraging modern testing tools and dev-friendly practices. You will collaborate with Product Management and Product Engineering, perform risk analysis and define test plans.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software testing or development experience with testing, coding, and debugging.
• Experience with Python/Java and automated testing using Selenium or Appium across UI/Service/Data layers.
• Ability to identify automatable test cases and work with developers to build automation-friendly code.
• Experience with SOAP/REST services and SQL queries; familiarity with Git.
• Experience in CI/DevOps environments and performance testing tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create tools and frameworks with quality code to simplify testing scenarios.
• Design and develop test plans, cases, execute and report results to teams.
• Collaborate with development to deliver functionality on time with required quality.
• Act as test lead, planning work and assigning tasks to meet deadlines.
• Guide project staff in scripts, expected results, test results and defects.
• Ensure best practices and on-schedule testing; focus on Web, API, and DB testing.
• Participate in Agile meetings and architecture reviews emphasizing test strategy.
• Contribute to functional, system and regression testing; capture QA data and metrics.
