Job summary

Golden Gate Regional Center in San Francisco is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to evaluate and monitor residential, day and specialized services across three counties for quality and compliance with Title XVII, California regulations, and GGRC standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, plus 2+ years in developmental disabilities. Strong written and verbal communication, data management, and HIPAA/privacy awareness are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years post-graduate work, one of which must be in developmental disabilities.
  • Strong communication, data management, and HIPAA compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and conducts quality assurance evaluations on community programs, including writing evaluation reports, follow-ups, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Acts as an independent evaluator, team leader, or QA team member.
  • Participates in State reviews of GGRC services.
  • Revise evaluation tools for residential/nonresidential programs based on Title XVII and best practices.
  • Analyze changes in Title XVII/XXII and DDS standards; make policy recommendations.
  • Participate in RFP processes for provider selection when needed.
  • Develop plans of correction for underperforming programs and provide follow up.
  • Serve on committees and task forces to improve quality of programs.
  • Provide specialized training workshops in evaluation and monitoring.
  • Meetings with Community Care Licensing and other regional centers.
  • Evaluate a Family Homes Agency annually and provide technical assistance.
  • Provide technical assistance to community programs, including targeted seminars.
