Job summary

The Humboldt Senior Resource Center in Eureka, CA, is seeking a full-time Quality Assurance Manager for Redwood Coast PACE. The role develops and evaluates the Quality Improvement Plan, and acts as the HIPAA/privacy officer for Medicare Part D Fraud, Waste, and Abuse.

Key duties include coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, preparing for CMS and DHCS audits, updating QA policies, and ensuring providers are licensed and compliant. Strong data skills and ethics are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or another relevant field.
• Two (2) years of experience working in quality assessment and performance improvement required, including data analysis.
• Experience with frail or elderly populations preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification within six months of hire.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA and CMS/DHCS requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates respect for participant rights and confidentiality.
• Designs, organizes, and implements the Redwood Coast PACE Compliance Program.
• Prepares documents and participates in CMS and DHCS audits and corrective action plans.
• Develops and updates policies and procedures under the program umbrella.
• Coordinates quality assurance activities for new enrollees and disenrollment.
• Oversees reporting for the QIP and provides data analysis for improvement.
• Serves as HIPAA privacy officer and liaison with centers and providers.
• Ensures contract providers are licensed and compliant with policies.
• Produces reports for MAC, QIC, and PAC as needed.
