Job summary

Newrez in Houston is seeking a Manager – Quality Assurance to lead the servicing compliance testing program across mortgage servicing operations. You will oversee data-driven testing, loan-level reviews, and issue management, ensuring adherence to policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong mortgage servicing compliance expertise, exceptional communication, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6+ years of experience in mortgage servicing compliance, quality assurance, quality control, audit, risk management, or related function.
• 2+ years of leadership or people-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, develop, and manage a team responsible for servicing compliance testing and QA activities.
• Provide oversight of data-driven testing and manual loan-level reviews to ensure adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure testing is conducted per established methodologies, quality standards, and investor guidelines.
• Review and approve testing results, findings, and reports for accuracy and clarity.
• Present monthly testing results, trends, root cause analyses, and risks to leadership.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, Legal, Risk Management, and partners to address issues and drive corrective actions.
• Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends to assess impacts on testing scope and risk.
• Identify opportunities to enhance testing methodologies, reporting, and controls.
• Oversee remediation tracking and validation to ensure actions are effective.
