The candidate will develop automated suites (Playwright or Selenium), perform exploratory testing, participate in agile ceremonies, and help ensure high-quality releases for state and local government agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on automation
• Experience performing both manual and automated testing
• Proficiency with automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Expertise with at least one programming/scripting language
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies with a Shift-Left mindset
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Execute high-level manual exploratory testing for new features while building automated test scripts
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Playwright or Selenium
• Participate in agile ceremonies providing the QA voice to focus on quality deliverables
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to clarify acceptance criteria and testability
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues
• Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work with developers for timely resolution
• Investigate defects, isolate root causes, and ensure resolution with engineering teams
• Advocate for shift-left testing practices and continuous quality improvement
