Job summary

Citi is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our global technology team. You will design and implement automated tests for Java-based services, focusing on API and UI automation, in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has strong Java, SQL and BDD experience, with hands-on expertise in frameworks like Cucumber, Playwright, or Cypress, and familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git.

Qualifications

• Minimum proven experience in automation testing with Java.
• Strong knowledge of BDD frameworks, especially Cucumber.
• Experience with API automation and SQL for data validation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools.

Responsibilities

• Implement and operate a BDD automation framework.
• Create detailed test plans, cases, and regressions.
• Act as a quality gate and document defects thoroughly.
• Develop API-based automated tests for functional and non-functional testing.
• Identify optimization opportunities for QA throughput.
• Collaborate with Production Support to troubleshoot issues.
• Apply testing processes for new and existing products.
