Job summary

Citi in Irving, TX seeks an experienced QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in test automation using Selenium WebDriver in Java. The role involves building resilient automation frameworks, executing both manual and automated tests, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate across teams to ensure software quality, perform API and SQL-based validations, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6–10 years in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on test automation.
• Proficient in designing and developing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
• Strong programming skills in at least one OO language (Java, Python, C#).
• Experience with TestNG, JUnit, Pytest, NUnit, or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of Page Object Model (POM).
• Design, write, and execute detailed manual test plans and test cases.
• Manual functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Exploratory testing to uncover defects not covered by formal tests.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development, product, and QA to define test strategies.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts with Selenium WebDriver in Java.
• Create and execute manual test plans and test cases.
• Perform manual and automated functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Conduct exploratory testing to find defects beyond formal cases.
• Implement and maintain test automation frameworks (POM, TestNG/JUnit, Cucumber).
• Run automated tests, analyze results, and coordinate with developers for fixes.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Perform API testing with Postman or Swagger and validate backend services.
• Write and execute SQL queries for data validation.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards.
• Provide clear reporting on test progress and quality.
