U.S. Bank is seeking a Python Backend Software Engineer to join the Identity and Access Management Automation Team. You will design, build, test, and maintain backend automation solutions that reduce manual effort, strengthen security, and improve efficiency.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, with hands-on development in Python and support for JavaScript/TypeScript components. The position requires working from a U.S.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong Python development experience with backend applications or services.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting production software.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals: design, architecture, testing, debugging, maintainable code.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, automation workflows, and backend services.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and web technologies.
• Ability to take ownership and deliver working software end-to-end.
• Curiosity and ability to learn unfamiliar systems and technologies.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend automation solutions using Python.
• Build services, APIs, and integrations supporting IAM workflows.
• Develop automated solutions for privileged-access and local-administrator-access processes.
• Support applications and integrations built around Vault and IAM technologies.
• Replace manual processes with scalable, code-driven workflows.
• Troubleshoot application errors, integration failures, and production issues.
• Perform software enhancements, maintenance, and patching.
• Collaborate with team and business partners to streamline processes via automation.
• Apply solid software design, architecture, testing, and development practices.
• Deliver solutions that improve efficiency, reduce risk, ensure compliance, and cut costs.
• Contribute to opportunities involving cloud automation and AI.
