Job summary

Ventures Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a development-heavy engineer with proven Python expertise to design and implement secure, scalable software in a cloud environment (AWS or GCP).

The role focuses on hands-on coding, API development, and automated testing within a financial services or large, complex context. You will work with security, infrastructure, and service teams to define IAM controls, deliver CI/CD pipelines with automated validation, and build Python-based frameworks for security

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on cloud-native experience in AWS or GCP
• Advanced Python development proficiency required
• Experience with API development and integrations
• Experience writing scalable, production-grade code
• Automated testing framework experience
• Security solutions design/implementation in financial services or large/global environments
• Strong self-motivation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and own multiple project parts
• Karat Python-focused assessment required
• IaC tools Terraform and CloudFormation experience
• Python, Go or Java proficiency
• Unit testing frameworks such as Behave, pytest or JUnit
• Developing and securing SOAP and REST APIs
• DevOps/Agile with CI/CD automation and testing

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional cloud teams to define IAM roles and policies for public cloud services
• Define and develop security controls and tools to ensure IAM implementations comply with cloud security standards
• Build automation and libraries to enable self-service IAM identity and permission provisioning
• Build and enhance Python-based frameworks for security control orchestration and detection/response workflows
• Develop integrations with cloud services, security tooling, platforms, and policy enforcement (OPA/Rego)
• Write and maintain automated unit tests and integration/behavioral tests
• Support CI/CD integration and continuous validation of controls
