Job summary

FNBO is seeking an Automation Engineer Intern to contribute to designing, developing, testing, and documenting automated solutions across Risk, Operations, Finance, and Treasury. You’ll gain hands-on experience with Python and AWS, working under senior team members to build reliable automation that interfaces with data platforms and reporting tools.

The role emphasizes curiosity, attention to detail, and a process-improvement mindset, in a regulated banking environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an associate, bachelor’s, or graduate degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with Python or another programming language, academic or project-based.
• Basic familiarity with SQL and data processing concepts.
• Ability to work in a team with guidance and participate in an internship program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing, developing, and testing automation solutions using Python and workflow platforms.
• Support automation scripts for data processing, reporting workflows, and operational processes.
• Translate requirements into small, maintainable automation components under team guidance.
• Gain exposure to AWS-based automation workflows and services like Lambda, S3, EC2.
• Utilize AWS services for compute, storage, and scheduling/orchestration tasks.
• Document automation logic, workflows, test results, and AWS architecture for auditability.
