Job summary

Moog in Buffalo, NY, is seeking an Associate Design Engineer, PWB Design to design complex PWBs and CCAs for NASA, military, and commercial space applications. You will work on schematics, layouts, BOMs, and manufacturing data as part of cross-functional teams.

The role requires a BS/BT in Electrical Engineering or technical degree with PWBD experience, strong drafting and configuration-management skills, and familiarity with IPC/Space/Military standards. Onsite work in Buffalo.

Qualifications

• BS/BT in Electrical Engineering or an Associate’s Degree with 2+ years PWBD experience.
• Working knowledge of engineering principles, documentation standards, and drafting practices.
• Understanding of electronic circuits, packaging, materials, and IPC/Space/Military/Commercial standards.
• Advanced experience with schematic entry and PWB layout/route.
• Working knowledge of configuration management for product design.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into Schematics, Netlists, PWB layouts, and drawings for fabrication.
• Ensure Schematic, PWB layout, BOM, and Manufacturing data meet design requirements.
• Occasionally direct drafting personnel in task completion.
• Follow Moog procedures and CM requirements (MBS, release workflow).
• Create and check detailed drawings; ensure BOM accuracy in PLM (Teamcenter).
• Contribute to cost-effective design by collaborating with Design and Manufacturing Eng.
• Suggest materials for non-critical situations to conform to design.
