Job summary

Optimal's Plant Vehicle Team Engineer at the Chicago Assembly Plant collaborates with operations to own the electrical system responsibilities for the Explorer and Aviator lines, including module software and the electrical distribution system. You will tackle design and quality issues by defining root causes and guiding containment actions with the right skill teams.

The role requires hands-on wiring design experience, familiarity with Teamcenter/CAD tools, and knowledge of SAE/USCAR wiring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Experience with vehicle electrical wiring systems and DFMEA preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of design and quality issues by defining issues and identifying initial root cause.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement containment actions.
• Work on electrical distribution system and module software integration.
