Job summary

Ford Motor Company at the Michigan Assembly Plant (MAP) seeks an Electrical/Software quality engineer to own module quality for Bronco and Ranger programs. You will drive root-cause analysis, support design changes and plant trials, and act as the first line of defense for vehicle quality, collaborating with VRT and Dearborn plant teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience with quality containment and corrective action processes, including root cause analysis and driving interim/permanent corrective actions.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with quality and engineering systems such as GSAR, JIRA, BSAQ, QED, SREA, AIMS, WERS, and IRIS/SIMPSN, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems.
• 1+ years of experience using diagnostic tools such as DET and FDRS to support vehicle triage.

Responsibilities

• Own Electrical and Electronic module quality on MAP programs.
• Identify and resolve design issues with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with VRT and Dearborn plant counterparts for issue containment.
• Lead plant trials for quality, cost, and supplier improvements.
• Support daily/biweekly quality meetings and vehicle quality reviews.
