Job summary

Optimal in Chicago is seeking an EE&S PVT Engineer to own the complete electrical system of the vehicle, including module software and wiring distribution. The role co-locates with CAP operations to resolve design and quality issues and drive containment actions to protect customers.

Candidate will learn and adapt across functional engineering areas, with hands-on experience in harness design, SAE/USCAR standards, and CAD tools. Fully onsite at CAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience with vehicle electrical distribution systems is beneficial.
• Ability to read and mark up 2D/3D wiring diagrams and geometry.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of design and quality issues by defining the problem and initial root cause.
• Coordinate with skill teams to ensure containment activities protect customers.
• Develop and release wiring harness designs for vehicle EDS and resolve DFMEA issues.
