Job summary

Per Sé Group seeks a PV & BESS Commissioning Manager to connect construction, engineering, EPCs, OEMs, and site teams, ensuring readiness before startup. You’ll coordinate SCADA, PPC, EMS, inverters, and BESS controls across utility-scale solar and hybrid PV+BESS projects in Texas.

You’ll travel for pre-commissioning and active startup while keeping execution moving from Houston or your home location.

Qualifications

• Experience with utility-scale PV and BESS projects.
• Field experience and technical judgment to identify readiness gaps.
• Ability to work with engineers, EPCs, OEMs and project leadership.
• Willingness to travel for pre-commissioning and startup activities.
• No engineering degree required; practical, hands-on expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities across PV, BESS, and PV+BESS projects in Texas.
• Drive readiness from construction completion through energization and turnover.
• Review plans, drawings, test packages, and vendor requirements for gaps.
• Coordinate EPCs, OEMs, commissioning providers, and utilities.
• Oversee integration of SCADA, PPC, EMS, inverters, and plant systems.
• Support FAT, SAT, functional and integration testing, and OP readiness.
• Track schedule and push for timely startup milestones.
