Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Cyber Data Protection Manager focused on Microsoft Purview to help clients design enterprise data governance and compliance strategies using cloud-native tools.

You will work with cross-functional teams to assess data protection risks, define governance frameworks, deploy Purview solutions, and support regulatory compliance and business resilience.

The role requires 5+ years in cybersecurity or data governance and hands-on Purview experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, data governance, or compliance consulting.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 compliance solutions.
• Certifications such as SC-400, CIPP, CIPM, CISSP, CISM required.
• Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and risk management frameworks.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot for Compliance and AI governance tools.
• Strong communication and leadership in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Purview capabilities including Information Protection, DLP and Records Management.
• Assess data governance and compliance programs in current-state assessments.
• Develop future-state roadmaps and implementation plans for Purview adoption.
• Define data classification, retention, and access policies with stakeholders.
• Integrate Purview with Microsoft 365, Azure, and third-party platforms.
• Deliver workshops to educate client teams on compliance tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to client proposals.
