Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Cyber Data Protection Manager focused on Microsoft Purview to design and implement enterprise data governance and compliance strategies. You will work with cross-functional teams to assess risks, define governance, and deploy Purview solutions that support regulatory compliance and business resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as SC-400, CIPP, CIPM, CISSP, CISM, or other related certifications required
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, data governance, or compliance consulting.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 compliance solutions.
• Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and risk management frameworks.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot for Compliance and AI-driven governance tools.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
• Experience in project management and cross-functional team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Microsoft Purview capabilities and data governance.
• Assess data protection risks and define governance frameworks.
• Deploy Purview solutions to support regulatory compliance and resilience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional client teams and stakeholders.
• Develop roadmaps and implementation plans for Purview adoption.
• Align Purview with GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, ISO 27001 and other frameworks.
• Conduct current-state assessments of data governance programs.
• Deliver workshops and train client teams on compliance tools.
