Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Data Protection Analyst to manage Microsoft Purview, implement DLP and information protection, and govern data across cloud apps, email, and devices in a dynamic security setting. The role requires collaboration with security, compliance, and legal teams in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in data protection, strong knowledge of Purview features, and experience with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Data Protection, Information Security, Compliance, or Data Governance.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview (DLP, Classification, Retention, eDiscovery).
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance features.
• Experience implementing DLP across Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive & Teams.
• Familiar with GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Experience investigating protection incidents and policy violations.
• Azure AD / Entra ID concepts and access management.
• PowerShell scripting for admin tasks.
• Experience creating compliance reports, dashboards, audits.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Administer Purview including DLP, Information Protection, Insider Risk, and eDiscovery.
• Develop labeling strategies and retention policies.
• Design and deploy DLP policies with adaptive protections.
• Manage DLP across cloud apps, email, devices, Microsoft Fabric, AI.
• Govern data protection capabilities: classification, labeling, retention, DLP.
• Automate data-protection across cloud workloads.
• Monitor alerts, investigate incidents, tune policies.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, and legal teams.
