Job summary

DAVIS is seeking a Pursuits Specialist to support the project procurement process and pursue new business. You will develop and submit multidisciplinary proposals, coordinate response teams, and edit narratives while championing the DAVIS brand across all materials.

The role requires strong writing, project coordination, and knowledge of A/E/C industry practices, plus experience with government proposals and GSA forms. Base salary ranges from $80,000 to $105,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing or Construction related field, or equivalent experience
• At least five years of experience; minimum two years in proposal/presentation development for private/public sector
• Strong technical writing, editing and proofreading experience
• Strong experience with GSA proposal forms and government proposals
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Advanced MS Office and graphics/presentation tools (Adobe Creative Suite)
• Ability to write creatively for different audiences
• Understanding of A/E/C industry and related certifications (APMP/LEED) a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage development of multiple proposals, including response production, layout, and final delivery
• Provide strategic guidance and coaching through the proposal and presentation process

• Ensure compliance with RFP/RFQ requirements

Summary

The Pursuits Specialist provides critical support for the project procurement process and pursuit of new business. Daily responsibilities include developing and submitting multidisciplinary and collaborative proposals to a wide range of private and public sector clients. Coordinates proposal response and team assignments; supports proposal development and writing; writes and edits proposal narratives; and serves as proposal liaison to all Market Sector groups. Must champion + maintain DAVIS’ brand standards across the board.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing or Construction related field, or equivalent experience
• At least five (5) years of previous; minimum of two (2) years of which should be specifically with proposal and presentation development related responsibilities; must have a demonstrated high level of experience and understanding of private + public sector proposal process
• Strong technical writing, editing and proof-reading experience
• Strong experience level with GSA proposal forms and other technical government proposal preparation
• Expert organizational and time management skills to coordinate projects and people, prioritize and track multiple projects simultaneously, and meet critical deadlines
• Expert skill level + experience using MS office suite, various graphics and presentation programs (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite)
• Strong ability to write creatively and to appeal appropriately to each audience with each message
• Strong understanding of A / E / C industry, its dynamics and touchpoints
• Related certifications a plus (APMP and / or LEED accredited)

The base salary (or hourly) range for this position is

$80,000.00 - $105,000.00
