Job summary

DAVIS Construction in the Greater Philadelphia Area seeks a Pursuits Specialist to support project procurement and new business pursuits. You will coordinate multidisciplinary proposals, assist in writing and editing narratives, and ensure adherence to DAVIS brand standards across materials.

The role requires advanced technical writing skills, 5+ years in proposals with 2+ in related duties, and strong MS Office/Adobe experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing or Construction related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least five years, with 2+ years in proposal/presentation development
  • Strong technical writing, editing and proofreading
  • Experience with GSA proposal forms and government proposals
  • Excellent organizational and time management to coordinate multiple proposals
  • Proficient in MS Office and graphics/presentation tools
  • Ability to write creatively for diverse audiences
  • Knowledge of A/E/C industry dynamics
  • APMP/LEED accreditation a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and submit multidisciplinary proposals to private/public sector clients
  • Coordinate proposal responses and team assignments
  • Support proposal development, writing, and editing of narratives

The Pursuits Specialist provides critical support for the project procurement process and pursuit of new business. Daily responsibilities include developing andsubmittingmultidisciplinary and collaborative proposals to a wide range of private and public sector clients. Coordinates proposal response and team assignments; supports proposal development and writing; writes and edits proposal narratives; and serves as proposal liaison to all Market Sector groups. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing or Construction related field, or equivalent experience

  • At least five (5) years ofprevious; minimum of two (2) years of which should be specifically withproposal and presentation development related responsibilities; must have a demonstratedhigh levelof experience and understanding of private + public sector proposal process

  • Strong technical writing,editingand proof-reading experience

  • Strong experience level with GSA proposal forms and other technical government proposal preparation

  • Expert organizational and time management skills to coordinate projects and people, prioritize and trackmultiple projects simultaneously, and meet critical deadlines

  • Expert skill level + experience using MS office suite, variousgraphicsand presentation programs (i.e.Adobe Creative Suite)

  • Strong ability to write creatively and to appeal appropriately to each audience with each message

  • Strong understanding of A / E / C industry, itsdynamicsand touchpoints

  • Related certifications a plus (APMP and / or LEED accredited)
