Job summary

James G. Davis Construction Corporation is seeking a Pursuits Specialist to support project procurement and new business pursuit.

You will develop and submit multidisciplinary proposals, coordinate responses, and write/edit narratives while upholding the DAVIS brand across all materials. The role requires a Bachelor’s in English/Marketing/Construction, 5+ years in proposal work (2+ in development), and strong command of MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing or Construction related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of experience, with two+ years in proposal and presentation development.
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills for private and public sector proposals.
  • Experience with GSA forms and government proposal preparation.
  • Excellent organizational and time management to handle multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and presentation tools; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to write creatively for different audiences; knowledge of A/E/C industry.

Daily responsibilities include developing and submitting multidisciplinary and collaborative proposals to a wide range of private and public sector clients. Coordinates proposal response and team assignments; supports proposal development and writing; writes and edits proposal narratives; and serves as proposal liaison to all Market Sector groups.
