Job summary

Discovery Land Company’s Makena Golf & Beach Club in Hawaii seeks a Purchasing & Receiving Clerk to join the Procurement Department. The role maintains inventory, checks deliveries against invoices/POs, and organizes shipments while supporting the purchasing team in delivering memorable experiences for members and staff.

Responsibilities include receiving, clerical tasks, vendor relations, and participating in monthly inventories.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
• Previous purchasing or warehouse experience in hotel/resort/ distribution environments preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of MS Office including Excel and Outlook.
• Computer knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and Warehouse Management Systems.
• Proficient with electronic scanning equipment.
• Previous experience operating warehouse equipment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean DMV record.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the Purchasing Department.
• Assist with receiving and storeroom operations.
• Check mail and distribute to mail room daily.
• Route deliveries to departments as needed.
• Establish and maintain relations with vendors.
• Inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy.
• Coordinate and assist in special purchasing projects.
• Participate in monthly inventories of food, beverage and controllable items with kitchen and F&B staff.
• Receive and store all incoming F&B deliveries; transport as needed.
• Operate forklifts to move heavy items to checking area.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.
