Job summary

Capital City Club in Georgia is seeking a full-time Purchasing Assistant to support receiving and purchasing activities at all club locations. The role reports to the Director of Purchasing and collaborates with Executive/Sous Chefs to ensure timely deliveries and inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities include forecasting deliveries, maintaining inventory, processing invoices in Excel, and interpreting BEOs to prepare shopping lists.

Qualifications

• Must possess a positive team-oriented attitude.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and ensure quality and quantity of all items ordered.
• Maintain constant communication with the Director of Purchasing and Executive or Sous Chef to forecast deliveries.
• Maintain clean and organized walk-in coolers, freezers, and storage rooms.
• Enter daily invoices into an Excel spreadsheet and forward to Purchasing for entry into Food Trak.
• Read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEO) to create shopping lists for items to be purchased.
• Own the Month-End Inventory Process for the assigned location.
• Manage vendor returns and ensure proper credits for non-conforming items.
