House of Forgings and its subsidiaries are seeking an experienced and motivated Purchasing Manager to oversee all purchasing activities, supporting organizational operations efficiently and cost-effectively.

Responsibilities
  1. Establish and implement purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices.
  2. Monitor compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.
  3. Manage procurement processes to ensure timely and budget-compliant purchasing and delivery.
  4. Identify and source new suppliers and vendors.
  5. Manage vendor selection based on price, quality, support, capacity, and reliability.
  6. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  7. Maintain an approved vendor/supplier database.
  8. Negotiate and administer purchasing agreements and contracts.
  9. Ensure contractual compliance and evaluate contracts for legal and organizational adherence.
  10. Monitor vendor compliance and performance metrics.
  11. Oversee supplier quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  12. Address cost, quality, and delivery issues proactively.
  13. Manage risks associated with quality, cost, delivery, and supply chain.
  14. Implement performance improvement measures for suppliers.
  15. Coordinate with relevant departments on inventory needs.
  16. Facilitate purchase order placement and review for compliance.
  17. Develop and oversee purchasing budgets and forecasts.
  18. Track and reduce purchase variances to meet profit goals.
  19. Generate reports on procurement activities and performance.
  20. Manage the operations and performance of the purchasing department.
  21. Lead and motivate purchasing staff.
  22. Continuously improve purchasing processes to adapt to market and organizational changes.
  23. Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
  24. Stay informed on market trends, prices, and delivery conditions to optimize procurement strategies.
Requirements
  1. Proven negotiation skills.
  2. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  3. Professional tact, courtesy, and ethical conduct.
  4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  5. Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  6. Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  7. Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; coursework in purchasing/inventory management preferred.
  8. Experience in purchasing and procurement.
  9. Knowledge of project management principles.
  10. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems like Eclipse preferred.
Physical Requirements
  1. Prolonged sitting and working at a computer.
  2. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  3. Potential travel to vendors or company locations.
