We have an opportunity within the Energy Systems Global Supply Chain Solution (GSCS) Team for a Principal Advanced Reactor Procurement Manager to work on our Energy Systems business. The PPM should have strong technical and project management knowledge and will oversee all procurement activities (pre-PO and post-PO) for Energy Systems, focusing on ensuring components are delivered on schedule, on budget, and meet all quality requirements. This is a US Remote Role.

This role involves managing large-scale procurement projects, working with cross-functional teams, and building, executing, and reporting on project implementation plans. The PPM will lead procurement activities to ensure readiness for pre-PO and post-PO stages, facilitating predictable delivery during execution.

The Energy Systems PPM will collaborate with GSCS functional teams to develop project charters, benefits, and resource plans. Responsibilities include monitoring project status, resolving roadblocks, escalating issues, and communicating project changes. The role also involves developing sourcing plans to minimize risks, generate savings, and ensure smooth project execution.

As part of the Energy Systems Delivery Stream GSCS Team, the candidate should have strong project management skills and the ability to develop teams with procurement expertise (RFx, Supplier Relationship, Contract Management) and technical backgrounds (civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.) for purchasing equipment and services. The role involves interfacing with internal departments—Business Unit, Engineering, Quality, Sales—and external customers, requiring strong relationship skills to provide timely and innovative solutions.

Ability to travel (10 to 20%).

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Support development of sourcing & procurement strategies with Offer and Project Teams, identifying demand, potential suppliers, and establishing communication channels.
• Assist Commercial Teams in executing sourcing strategies to meet business goals and drive improvements, including RFx process coordination, strategy development, and negotiation.
• Analyze costs and develop strategies to maximize supplier value and cost savings.
• Maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders, resolving contract performance issues.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Westinghouse procurement policies.
• Manage supply commitments, change management, and support invoice resolution.
• Utilize best-cost country sourcing, especially in Middle/Eastern Europe.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience; Engineering degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
