Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One semester (12 credit hours) of accredited college work or equivalent.
• Experience and working knowledge of general purchasing and contracting.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with insurable driving record.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Two-factor authentication (2FA) may be required using personal mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ethical and professional communications with staff and vendors.
• Provide purchasing services for departments, staff, and vendors.
• Purchase commodities, materials, and services.
• Prepare reports and complete bids and requisitions.
• Process requisitions through local, state, and federal contracts.
• Communicate information on purchase orders, expediting, and vendor reports.
• Work with staff and vendors to determine best value for the agency.
• Assist walk-in customers and pull stock to fill orders.
