First America Homes, the homebuilding division of The Signorelli Company, seeks a Purchasing Coordinator to support construction teams across Houston-area communities from The Woodlands, TX. You will generate and update purchase orders, track invoices, and collaborate with managers and suppliers.

The ideal candidate has purchasing experience in home building, strong MS Office skills, and meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior purchasing experience for home building preferred.
• Familiarity with accounts payable terminology used in construction.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; highly organized.
• Attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee purchasing for new home starts across Houston-area communities.
• Generate and adjust purchase orders for new builds and selections.
• Collaborate with construction managers and estimators on material needs.
• Approve and send variance purchase orders promptly and maintain records.
• Maintain PO, invoice, and delivery records with regular reports.
• Update start details in the Newstar system and assist payroll invoices.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
• Support stage moves and other ad hoc purchasing duties.
