Job summary

The Signorelli Company, through its First America Homes division, seeks a Purchasing Coordinator to support construction teams across the Houston area. You will generate and manage purchase orders, track invoices, and coordinate with project managers to meet timelines and budgets.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong communication, and proficiency with the Newstar system and MS Office in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time on-site position based in The Woodlands, TX.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing for a home builder is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Newstar operating system is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office and accounts payable terminology specific to home building.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the purchasing process for new home starts in the greater Houston area.
• Generate purchase orders for new home builds and related selections.
• Collaborate with construction managers, estimators, and team members to anticipate material needs and adjust schedules.
• Approve and send out variance purchase orders promptly.
• Update new home start details in the Newstar system.
• Maintain records of all purchase orders, invoices, and deliveries, and prepare regular reports.
• Assist with updating purchase orders and entering specific payroll invoices into the system.
• Monitor material costs and identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
• Coordinate stage moves as directed by construction managers.
• Provide support for various ad hoc purchasing duties.
