As a Purchasing Assistant, you'll be the driving force behind efficient procurement processes that fuel our success. Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers through market research, pricing analysis, and performance tracking to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in pricing, specifications, quantities, and delivery requirements.
- Monitor stock levels, identify purchasing needs, and coordinate with internal departments and warehouse staff to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery, resolve delays or discrepancies, and confirm changes with suppliers when necessary.
- Maintain and update accurate records of purchases, contracts, pricing, and supplier information in procurement systems and internal databases.
- Compare supplier invoices with purchase orders and bids to verify accuracy and resolve billing or payment issues with the accounting team.
- Check incoming shipments to verify order accuracy and ensure that goods meet specifications and quality standards.
- Liaise with warehouse and logistics personnel to ensure proper receipt and handling of products.
- Support vendor relationship management through effective communication and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and purchasing procedures while identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Provide general administrative support to the purchasing and operations teams, including preparing reports, maintaining files, and assisting with cross-functional tasks.
- Flexibility to work varied hours when needed to coordinate with international suppliers.
- All other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
- HS diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in Logistics, Purchasing and Supply or Business Administration preferred
Passion for music and some experience with musical instruments preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with purchasing software and inventory management systems.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Team player with a positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to collaborate and learn from others.
