Shield HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Agent for our Valencia, CA office to coordinate procurement of goods and services for the organization.

The role requires 5 years of purchasing experience, strong Excel and data entry skills, and excellent verbal and written communication. You will review requisitions, interact with vendors, expedite orders, and manage inventory to support operations.

Responsibilities

• Expedites delivery of goods to users.
• Creates and distributes backorder reports.
• Manages inventory adjustments and resolves discrepancies.
• Processes backorders for shipment upon receipt.
• Maintains reorder parameter analysis.
• Generates expediting and backorder prevention reports.
• Reviews slow turning inventory and takes action.
• Conducts regular replenishments.
• Performs periodic location verification.
• Reviews automated reorder parameters.
• Handles miscellaneous projects as assigned.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviews requisitions
• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule
• Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action
• Expedites delivery of goods to users
• Creates and distributes manufacturer backorder report
• Inventory adjustments and investigation/resolution of discrepancies
• Processing of backorders for shipment upon receipt
• Analysis and maintenance of reorder parameters
• Expediting and backorder prevention reports
• Review and resolution of slow turning inventory
• Regularly scheduled replenishments
• Conduct periodic location verification
• Review/evaluate/maintain automated inventory reorder parameters
• Miscellaneous projects as assigned by supervisor
