Job summary

TRITECH Communications in the New York area seeks a proactive Purchasing professional to manage stock and customer order fulfillment across multiple regions. You will work with Estimating, Project Management, Accounting and Logistics to secure equipment at best value and on schedule.

The role emphasizes supplier negotiation, cost reduction, and accurate processing of orders, invoices and returns, with a focus on AV equipment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Purchasing, Planning or a similar role.
• Audio Visual Purchasing Experience highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience with Microsoft D365 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process orders accurately and timely to support stock and customer orders.
• Source equipment at lowest cost while maintaining value.
• Coordinate with Project Management on shipping schedules.
• Negotiate contracts with Tier 2 vendors and assist with Tier 1 as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels and rectify delivery/date issues.
• Review invoices against purchase orders and manage returns.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual responsible for purchasing material for stock and customer orders. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, you will support all of the regions under the TRITECH umbrella working cross functionally with Estimating, Project Management, Accounting, and Logistics.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring that all orders are processed in an accurate and timely manner
• Obtain all job related equipment and services at the lowest cost with focus on total value
• Obtain manufacturer shipping schedule on all equipment ordered and relay to Project Management teams
• Recommend alternate suppliers where a savings in cost or improved delivery will result
• Resolve any problems that arise in relation to delivery dates, quality, quantity or cost of purchased goods and services
• Review discrepancies in invoices which are not in complete agreement with purchase orders
• Responsible for processing return of unused or incorrect equipment
• Negotiate contracts with ‘Tier 2’ vendors
• Participate with Security President in negotiating ‘Tier 1’ vendor contracts
• Oversee inventory re-order levels of all equipment to assure appropriate level and maximize turnover of equipment
• Other duties as required or assigned by company management

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Purchasing, Planning or a similar role
• Audio Visual Purchasing Experience highly preferred
• Superior customer service & communications skills for both internal and external customers
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date
• Experience with Microsoft D365 a plus

Compensation

$75K/yr – $80K/yr commensurate with experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, Voluntary Life Insurance, Domestic Coverage, Paid Family Leave, generous Paid Time Off, Commuter Benefit, 10 Paid Holidays, a 401k plan with a discretionary employer match and Company paid Group Term Life Insurance and Long Term Disability.
