Job summary

TRITECH Communications, Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer (Design Engineer) to bridge sales and technology in our Audio-Visual division.

You will lead design discussions, develop system drawings, and prepare cost proposals while coordinating with architects and trades. The role requires an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) in electronics/engineering, AV integration experience, CAD and Excel proficiency, and CTS/CTS-D is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s preferred in Electronics, Engineering, or similar field.
• Experience in the Audio Visual integration field required.
• CTS and CTS-D certification preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills.
• Self-starter, motivated to succeed, able to manage daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology design discussions with end users and account managers.
• Develop preliminary system design drawings, construction documents, equipment specs and cost proposals.
• Create rough-order-of-magnitude budgets.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP and trades.

About the Role

We are looking for a Sales Engineer (Design Engineer) who will be responsible for providing pre-sales support to Sales and Technical staff for design/build proposals. As a Sales Design Engineer, you bridge the gap between sales and technology. Reporting to the Director of Design, you work closely with account managers to understand customer needs and prove how our products solve their problems. This position will be in our Audio-Visual division so experience in this industry is highly preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work with our business units and end users to lead the technology design and discussion, analyze current client technology, listen to goals and challenges to help achieve desired outcomes
• Lead the development of preliminary system design drawings, construction documents, equipment specifications and cost proposals.
• Create rough-order-of-magnitude budget
• Coordinate with architects, MEP and trades.
• Create sales proposals; send approved proposals to the client
• Maintain regular communication with Clients and design team.
• Work with Program Manager and Project Team to verify system functionality
• Develop and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies
• Provide sales and technical staff with lessons learned on both a pre and post sales basis
• Work closely with our AV and Security design engineers and other disciplines

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree Required, Bachelor’s preferred in Electronics, Engineering, or similar field
• Experience in the Audio Visual integration field required
• CTS and CTS-D certification preferred
• Proficiency in CAD and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills
• Be a self-starter, internally motivated to succeed, and able to effectively manage one’s own daily activities

Compensation:

$125K/yr – $135K/yr commensurate with experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, Voluntary Life Insurance, Domestic Coverage, Paid Family Leave, generous Paid Time Off, Commuter Benefit, 10 Paid Holidays, a 401k plan with a discretionary employer match and Company paid Group Term Life Insurance and Long Term Disability.
