Job summary

Compass Resourcing Group, LLC is seeking a Pump Technician/Mechanic for a first shift role at a leading industrial pump manufacturer's service center in Shreveport, LA. The candidate will teardown, troubleshoot, repair and reassemble centrifugal pumps in a climate-controlled shop.

Requirements include 5+ years pump repair experience (not installation), experience with OEM or major pump repair shops, API pump repair, and familiarity with pump metallurgy and rotating equipment clearances.

Qualifications

5+ years overall pump repair experience (not installation).
Experience at an OEM or significant pump repair shop.
Repair experience on API type pumps.
Familiar with pump metallurgy fundamentals and rotating equipment operation and clearances.
Extensive experience performing repair and rebuild on various style pumps such as horizontal multistage, vertical, overhung, split case, etc.
Experience using precision measuring instruments (analog mics, dial calipers, depth gauges, etc.).
Must have a good set of hand tools with sockets & wrenches up to 1".

Responsibilities

Tear down, troubleshoot, repair and reassemble centrifugal pumps.
Work in a climate-controlled shop environment and adhere to first shift schedule; overtime may be required.
